Eventful flight so far !!

We were joined by Shadow 1,2 and 3 for a bit of formation flying just north of Singapore. We have picked up a Stevens aircraft 100 miles behind us on TCAS and dawn has broken. The most significant factor however has been our fuel burn due to higher outside air temperatures than expected. We have been burning 12 tonnes an hour and our reserve fuel is now just 9.3 tonnes. We considered a stop at Singapore but have reduced our speed to Mach 0.835 and are waiting to see the impact of anticipated tail winds from southern Indonesia onwards. Worst case we will make a technical stop into Alice Springs for refuelling if required.

Currently we expect to arrive in Sydney at 1754 Sunday evening (0654 GMT) if we don't have to stopover at Alice Springs.
