Welcome to the UK WorldFlight Blog

Once again it's November and that means it is time for 747 Simulator and the Crew of "Speedbird 744" to fly around the World to raise donations for the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.

If you have stumbled across us by accident,WorldFlight is a “Virtual” Round the World Flight to raise money for Charities around the globe. Teams use their own Home-built Airliner Simulators, flying with real Airline procedures, Charts and Virtual Air Traffic Control supplied by the VATSIM Network. We also use weather programs which simulate the “real world” weather conditions for added reality.
UK WorldFlight is one of Ten Official teams taking part in this years event.
The route consists of 45 separate flights around the world taking one whole week to complete
flying 24 hours per day, we roster the Pilots and have a full crew on each flight.

UK WorldFlight supports the Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance. The concept of a virtual round the world flight for charity was started 11 years ago by a team in the UK and has spawned an annual event with participants all over the globe. 'WorldFlight Australia' was started in 2000 and has become the leading group with others in the UK, USA, Canada Austria and Scotland joining the flight over the past 10 years, We all fly the same route as one large group.

Each team select their own worth charity and raise funds through donations and corporate sponsorship.

We raise money by asking for Online Donations and also Flight Deck Visits throughout the event.

We hope throughout the event that you will follow our Blog , track and watch our Live Webcam whilst we complete our journey and most importantly DONATE !
