Final Preparations

It's amazing how much work goes into WorldFlight, it all starts following the end of the previous years event with the Route being planned, we also have to find suitable Airport Scenery for each Airport and install in the Simulators, there are 1,000's of Real World Charts to be printed off for the Pilots to use, Crews must be picked and crew rosters worked out to suit their individual preferences and commitments, Flight Plans have to be worked out and distributed for Flight Simulator enthusiasts to use and join in with the official team, websites need to be designed or updated ... All this work has now been completed

We are now only a few days away from the start of the event and a few last minute adjustments have been made to the simulator, we have installed a new computer to run the Air traffic communications, tested the webcam and I have been promoting the event through social media such as Facebook.

There are other jobs to be done, like buying the Mountain of food and drink needed to keep a crew of eight going for a whole week, Crew Name tags have been printed, and the Pilots Flight board has been prepared and is just waiting for up to date weather charts to be posted on it.
Slowly the house the Simulator is located in, is being transformed into UK WorldFlight HQ
Hopefully all work will be completed by Friday and I can have a day of rest before we start :)
